"The Distance Between Us"

Oil on panel, 10"x10"

This type of sky is mesmerizing to me, it's seeing such a distance in cloud layers, one over the other for as far as the eye can see until they fade somewhere near the horizon.

"Horse Grazing" (Sketch)

Oil on panel, 11"x14"

This is just a sketch of a horse grazing. I was originally going to complete the painting but decided I liked it as is, so I left it.

"Blue Landscape"

Oil on panel, 10"x10"

This piece was actually painted several months ago and left with intentions of one more session to complete it. I was thinking I would add more detail to the foreground flowers but decided to leave it and move on. So I photographed it this morning and here it is.

"Mare and Colt"

Oil on panel. 11"x14"

This painting was worked in a couple sessions. Started before I left for vacation and partially wiped down then finished this morning. Trying to get my groove back with these fast paintings. 11"x14" might be pushing my limits for a one session painting but I want to get to the point of painting a much larger piece in the same amount of time. At least I am hoping to and will attempt to work my way up the scale a little at a time.

"Perfect Day"

Oil on panel, 7"x5"

The title speaks for itself. What could be better than a view of the Mexican Riviera right before your eyes? Maybe an endless supply of ice cold beer to go with it?
