Cactus at Linda's Place

Oil on canvas 16"x20"

I wanted to show the progression of this piece, which was started very quickly and loosely. As the painting progressed, I slowed down quite a bit and became much more deliberate with the brushwork. Bad photos but you get the idea. Painted mostly from a reference photo taken at a friends property in Montell, Texas but improvised quite a bit as well.

David, I enjoy watching your paintings. This one is, like most of your work, terrific. But, I just couldn't help letting you know that the next to last stage of the painting is visual dynamite! Discover on!
