Another piece inspired by photos take near Eagle Lake on the 90 Alternate southwest of Houston.

If you live in the Houston area and have never made this drive, I highly recommend it.

Drive it when the wildflowers are out and you will not be disappointed.

This was painted using brush work mixed with palette knife about 50/50. Very loose and spontaneous work with bold color. I used photos taken on the 90 Alternate between Richmond and Eagle Lake. Lots of nice ranch land on that route.

What a fun piece to paint. I love scenes like this. A nice distant view, a field full of bluebonnets and other wildflowers with a beautiful blue Texas sky!
