This is a view of the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park at approximately a mile high altitude. The park encounters quite a transition from the lower desert elevations to the higher mountain regions.

This daily painting was actually done en plein air, outside in scorching heat. I placed the daisies in a stainless pitcher on top of a small pedestal table in partial sun. I made up the background.
