Oil on panel, 11"x14"
Another attempt at the Grapevine Hills in Big Bend. I am much happier with the results this time. This was painted much faster than the previous Grapevine Hills painting and almost entirely with a no. 8 flat. The large brush and faster pace kept me from painting undesired details and concentrating on the value and color.

David, I rarely comment on a landscape but could not pass this one up. You have done an extraordinary job capturing the feel of the sunlight falling across this scene. Great job!
