This scene is from far down the Ross Maxwell scenic drive in Big Bend National Park. This is where the road has descended from the mountain elevations to the flats near the Rio Grande and looking back to the north.
Acrylic on stretched canvas, 18"x24" This scene started out as a small thumbnail sketch that I did from imagination. A little more detail in this piece than I normally paint.

Oil on panel, 11"x14" Cattle grazing in a pasture near Ft. Davis State Park, Texas.
My mistake in naming this piece "Davis County Livestock" as a gracious and anonymous viewer reminded me, the county is Jeff Davis and I knew that but it had slipped my mind. Thanks Anonymous!
These Water Lilies were growing in the Gage Gardens in Marathon, Texas. If you ever pass through Marathon, be sure to visit the gardens, they are an oasis in the high desert.
