This daily painting was actually done en plein air, outside in scorching heat. I placed the daisies in a stainless pitcher on top of a small pedestal table in partial sun. I made up the background.

These Water Lilies were growing in the Gage Gardens in Marathon, Texas. If you ever pass through Marathon, be sure to visit the gardens, they are an oasis in the high desert.
