This is a view of the Chisos Mountains of Big Bend National Park at approximately a mile high altitude. The park encounters quite a transition from the lower desert elevations to the higher mountain regions.

This scene is from far down the Ross Maxwell scenic drive in Big Bend National Park. This is where the road has descended from the mountain elevations to the flats near the Rio Grande and looking back to the north.

This daily painting was actually done en plein air, outside in scorching heat. I placed the daisies in a stainless pitcher on top of a small pedestal table in partial sun. I made up the background.

My mistake in naming this piece "Davis County Livestock" as a gracious and anonymous viewer reminded me, the county is Jeff Davis and I knew that but it had slipped my mind. Thanks Anonymous!
