'Til the Cows Come Home
Oil on panel, 8"x10"

This is a repaint of a previous work. I was not happy with the original painting and felt I could easily improve upon it. These cows are from a south Texas ranch mid 1980's.

You are a man of few words David, but there's lots of expression in these lovely paintings of Texas grasslands. Beautiful work. I love the long horn painting.

I saw you at cripple pencil, another very talented artist. I had to visit.
What attracted me was your profile, I, too, am in developmental stage--but then I thought aren't we all? That's what life is, a trip of constant learning. I'm learning portraiture. It took me a few decades to discover I was a portrait artist my whole life, just didn't know it.I took the ability for granted--thought everybody could do it. Anyway, I'll be watching your growth from my blogs I like list. Your landscapes have life, few rolling hills. Nice.

David, I love your painterly, expressive technique, interesting compositions, handling of light, and color choices. You did an excellent job in reworking this picture.
