"Maroon Bells - Plein Air"
Oil on Panel, 11"x14" Friday 6/10 was my last day in Colorado. I painted this scene of the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen en Plein Air. The photos show the painting in progress and my view of one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
Hey Pop Pop, I so glad you got to go on that trip. Colorado is a painters paradise isnt it? This piece is absolutely beautiful. Great use of color. I dont know how you do it but the haze in the air translates straight to the canvas. I imagine that is probably very difficult to do. Every time I get on here I am more and more impressed, keep it up!
